Arrival Day Suggestions

Check In Time  - 4pm

You can request an early check in time of 1pm (for £35) via your Guest Log In, or please get in touch via email. From there we will check availability, confirm with you & send over a payment link. These are available on a first come first served basis.

In the meantime, here are some ideas of what to do ahead of the 4pm check in time. These suggestion are day dependent as to what's open so please remember to double check opening days and times.

The Cheesplate Buntingford

Our favourite shop/eatery in Buntingford, bringing you exceptional cheese & accompaniments. Mention you're staying with us for a discount.

They're open Monday - Saturday and offer a lovely lunch sat at the cheese counter. Dog friendly too.

The Falcon, Buntingford

A great little restaurant in local Buntingford, housed in a beautiful 16th century building. There is a Deli for takeaway, or a small restaurant that is open 7 days a week.

Dog friendly at outdoor tables only.

The Coffee Shop, Buntingford

A fab coffee shop with food in local Buntingford. Open 7 days a week from 8am.

Dog friendly seating outside only.

Parking in Buntingford is free for 1.5 hours. Please park in Bowling Green Lane Car Park 

The Bull, Cottered

Our pub in the Village. It has odd opening hours Monday - Wednesday so we highly recommend checking in first to see if its open! You do seem to need to book too.....

NOT OPEN  ON MONDAYS (we think!)

Pearces Farmshop Cafe

A lovely farm shop & cafe with lots of choice from local suppliers.

Church Farm Cafe, Ardeley

Farm, farm shop, cafe and dog friendly walks. Dog friendly everywhere.

The Jolly Waggoner Pub, Ardeley

Next to Church Farm, a great local pub and walkable from us (40 mins).

Very dog friendly.

Please note not open on Monday or Tuesday. 

The Sword Inn Hand

Great pub, gorgeous food, great location. Dog friendly.

Hitchin Lavender

Small family run flower farm open in Summer. Explore the rows of lavender, acres of sunflowers and wild flower meadow. You’re welcome to take a picnic with you, or sample something delicious their new Field Kitchen menu. Your four legged friends are also welcome to enjoy the fields and the network of footpaths all around them.
