After a year of Lockdowns, and cooking for ourselves we thought that even though you've chosen 'self-catering' you might still want someone else to cook for you!​

Plus, why not enjoy the surroundings of your beautiful retreat and not worry about who's driving, or paying for a taxi? For realistically not much more than a meal out, let us bring the chef to you!

After agreeing your menu choice with your chosen chef, you can sit back and relax!

How does this work?

See below for your choice of Chef; once a date and time is agreed between you, you'll work with them to create a menu within your budget (prices start at £80pp for 3 courses.....).

 

Then during your stay, you can quiz them on their knowledge, pick up some new skills or simply relax whilst they put it all together for you.

We think this is fabulous value and a great addition to your stay!

The cuisines we offer are: British Classics, Italian, Indian, Pakistani, Kenyan,Plant Based, Asian, Raw & American classics.

You are also supporting a small, local, independent business too, so thank you!

Price does not include any drinks or items from the honesty larder, only the pre-agreed menu.

Kish

Kish never planned on becoming a chef. Like all good stories, it happened by pure chance. After finishing three years at university studying Business Economics, Kish decided he wanted to work abroad and Greece was his chosen destination.

Over the last 12 years, Kish has worked in several highly-respected restaurant kitchens within central London. Kish has dedicated his career to designing beautifully simple meals that blend his creativity & love of fresh, local ingredients.
 
Taking inspiration from various cuisines around the world but using the freshest local ingredients, you will experience the wonderful flavours from Mexico to India, Lebanon to Thailand and in between. Kish will work with you to agree a menu in advance.

Kate

Kate Ailey, founder of Cooking & Carafes, a foodie business born out of a passion for Italy and pasta! Kate’s love of Italian culture and cuisine doesn’t come from her roots as such, but from years travelling to Italy as a child, and then living in Sardinia in her 20s.
 
What started as a hobby, cooking in her Hertford flat, making fresh pasta, and sharing recipes on her blog and social media has now transformed into a small business.

What Kate doesn't know about Pasta making isn't worth knowing... her cooking comes with love and passion, and she's a firm favourite with our guests

Stéphanie

I am Stéphanie, a true believer that food brings happiness! I was born in the heart of French food culture - bringing people together to enjoy the art of good food.

I have always loved experimenting in the kitchen and cooking for others - any excuse to see the smile on people’s faces at the end of a meal! My food journey has changed over the years, influenced by my travels and the evolution of the food industry. I became a flexitarian, a vegetarian, a plant-based but butter eater… then I forgot about labels! What I do believe in is eating real wholesome food and of cooking in harmony with nature.

Sebastian

Sebastian is a talented & motivated chef with a passion for delivering quality & memorable dining experiences wherever the setting.
 
With a career which includes Senior Sous Chef at the Soho House Group in London, Sebastian decided to make the move into Corporate Hospitality where he became a Development Chef. Subsequent roles allowed him to exercise his creativity in developing new seasonal offers around healthy eating & street food.

 Sebastian now runs The Raw Pantry with his wife Marta, a concept that has been a dream of his for a long time and is a culmination of all his experience in developing menus that feature quality ingredients cooked simply, and his passion for sustainability and working with local suppliers.

Amie

Parlour Catering was born out of Amie’s love of the kitchen. Founded during lockdown while on furlough from the music industry, Parlour embodies the spirit of her Indian heritage.



 

Amie specialises in traditional, home-cooked Indian food. Growing up, she recalls family events spent huddled around tables, grazing on countless, delicious Indian dishes. With a focus on bringing people together through sharing food, this feasting menu will bring you a thali-style sharing platter, incorporating recipes filled with soul.



 

You will leave this experience with a new story to share, just like the ones from her childhood.

I am a food and recipe writer, obsessive cook and baker and have a passion for food styling and photography. Being born and bred in North London meant I was immersed in a really diverse and cultural food scene.

Coming from a Greek family, I often spent summers in Cyprus, learning another culture and language. I remember my mum and grandmothers often cooking in the sweltering heat which led to big family dinners outside under the stars.

I have featured on Masterched & Kirstie's Handmade Christmas where Kirstie said I made "the best pesto I have ever had".

Becoming a chef wasn’t something I ever thought I would or could aspire to be but the kitchen was always my favourite place to be.

5 years ago, I left a successful 10 year media career to pursue my passion for food. I went to cookery school, worked in restaurants & even food development. I started a food blog & shared my recipes for the food I love from all over the world.

During lockdown, I launched my food business ‘East’ - to showcase the food of my heritage - Pakistani, Kenyan & British. I still find it weird calling myself a chef. I’m just a girl that loves good food; to eat it, cook it & to share it with others.
